The first days of fall are here and that can only mean cooler weather. With the cooler temps comes changes to the way you prepare and change your tactics for fishing. Here are a few ways our Saltwater Angler Contributing Anglers make the adjustment of the changes in the season.
Captain Ethan Bilderback
Using “sight fishing” more often thanks to cooler temps making the water more clear.
Captain Lee Parsons
Slow down your presentation and wear layers to stay warm.
Captain Eris Jones
Fish for Kings closer to the beach. The cooler water drives the bait near the beach.
Using live baits since the cooler weather brings a blast of bait like Mullet and Spanish Mackerel.
Captain Jot Owens
Give a day or 2 after a strong cold front come through and let the water temps level off a bit.
