Strong striped marlin action with double digit bites everyday in February continues

Marlin & Tuna Fishing Report, Feb 9-17 2020

Fellow Anglers,

We are past the midway point in February and the bite has continued to be the hottest on the planet. Double digit bites of striped marlin every single full day fished this month. If you want to experience 10, 20, 30 and 50 plus raises of striped marlin then the time to go is now.

The Galapagos Islands offer the fastest most consistent year round striped marlin bite found anywhere on the planet. So far this year our boats have raised almost 3,200 marlin in combined 78 days fishing between our boats and 52 anglers.

San Cristobal Island

February 9 – 13, 2020: On The Hook fished with Captain Gus Hernandez with guest from Argentina. During their 5 days fishing they raised 213 striped marlin and 2 blue marlin. They had 119 bites and released 51 striped marlin and 1 blue marlin.

February 16, 2020: On The Hook was led by Captain Julio Rodriguez. Scott Hartleys group fished for striped marlin and raised 40 striped marlin had 22 bites and released 11.

February 17, 2020: On The Hook again manned by Captain Julio Rodriguez took Scott Hartley and company out for marlin. They raised 27, had 19 bites and the fish would just not stay glued so they managed to release 4.

A setback with frozen cargo transport to the islands delayed the arrival of ballyhoo so anglers have been using lures the past few days but bait finally arrived today!

We are almost sold out for March and April this year but have some available dates May to July 2020 if you still want to experience the worlds best marlin fishing. Now taking bookings for 2021!

The old salt passed away Feb 11, 2020. Allan was part of the Ecuagringo team 2006 and 2007 fishing onboard the Blue. Many mates and captains learned a great deal from his experience.

This was a man that had words of wisdom for every occasion. May he fish away in the celestials seas!
