Striped Marlin Action Continues From San Cristobal & Blue Marlin. Warmer Waters Are Now Available!

Thanks to Peter Santini keeping everyone up to date with the latest action from San Cristobal Island and the striped marlin bite.  Seas have been mostly calm although some areas have seen greenish water.

Most of the Galapagos are now 79 to 81 F which should have more blue and black marlin showing up!  Right now it’s time to take advantage of the striped marlin but also those who want to target blue marlin or both there is no better time to get down to the Galapagos Islands.

Feb 5, 2023– Vertigo 2 with Peter Santini fished the banks off Española Island and raised 9 striped marlin and 1 blue.  They released a striped marlin and lost a nice blue estimated around 500# out of 6 marlin bites. 

Feb 6, 2023– Vertigo 2 returned to Española banks and found the striped marlin more active raising 19 and a blue marlin.  They had 17 bites and released 3 striped marlin and a blue estimated around 500#.

Stay tuned for the very first reports coming from the giant blue marlin fishery on Isabela Island coming out soon.

Our last spot open for giant blue marlin fishing on a shared boat this March has been filled up.  We still have a a few dates open to target striped marlin or blue marlin for the 2023 and 2024 season.
