Gear Review: Orvis Recon

I had the chance to fish two of the new Orvis Recon rods side-by-side with their original counterparts. Orvis released the Recon in 2015 to widespread acclaim, so I was a bit wary when I heard they’d given their mid-priced marvel a makeover.
